I am starting to Spain this summer as well as do not know if i wish to take the risk of receiving the digital camera. Everyone i speak says they have had things stolen from them such as their digital cameras. we competence only buy the garland of disposable cameras.

Take a digital one however, take the memory card out when not using it, so if the camera is stolen then you still have your pics on the card.

I’d bring a digital camera so I wouldn’t have to keep buying more disposable cameras. Theft happens everywhere. Just be careful and be aware of your surroundings.

In the long run digital is cheaper as the cost of buying and then processing the disposables adds up quickly plus the quality is not great.
Now if you are worried about getting it stolen, just be a little careful and make sure it is covered by your home or travel insurance.
