  Hamas makes no bones about its intention to kill Israeli civilians with its rocket and mortar fire. Israel contacts residents of buildings housing terrorists or arms caches, and warns then to leave their homes before they are attacked.

  Hamas is the evil side, while Israel is the humanitarian side.

  Well Hamas members do not qualify as innocent Palestinian civilians. But I dont know what Israel expects their land was taken by the League of Nations and given to the Jews…Whether they liked it or not. They i would assume would not like it at all. As i would asssume many Americans wouldnt like it if half their property was taken and given to African Americans for reparations…which from my understanding is basically why Israel was stolen from Palestine and given to the Jews after WWII.

  The Palestineans have basic necessities only because the Israelis have been providing tremendous amounts of aid, including providing their electricity. The Palestineans get a tremendous amount of foreign aid from the US and Europe, but they choose to spend the money on armaments instead of necessities for their people, not to mention the overseas accounts their leaders have squirreled the money into. Arafat put millions and millions of dollars in Swiss banks. Hamas has paraded other Arabs through the streets and then murdered them because they belong to Fatah. They have thrown people off the tops of buildings. They shoot rockets into Israel from schools and people’s homes. They use their mosques as ammunition dumps. They don’t care about their people, they just want bodies to exhibit. Of course Israel retaliated. The US would not have waited that long to shoot back and we would not have called people’s homes to tell them to leave before the house was bombed. They started a war, were told Israel would stop if they stopped shelling, but they are still sending rockets into Israel. It is upon their heads. By the way, Americans know there are a lot of middle eastern Arabs who are German citizens.

  Your right. The Israelis are killing innocent Palestinians. Last time they killed a one day old baby. There killing innocent people – men, children and women. There the terrorists – not the muslims. And by the way – people who support Israel need to stop using Hamas against the Palestinian supporters. If Hamas really commited all those crimes then there not proper muslims. You can’t judge the whole nation of Palestine just on one group.

  The criminal state of Israel is not going to stop its atrocities unless they are stopped. And even if they stop the bombing and killing of civilians some time soon, they will continue the blockade and continue the occupation. They must be stopped. The US is partly responsible for the killing of those 827+ people, because they support and encourage Israel in its criminal behavior. It’s like 827+ palestinians lives are worth less than an Israeli or American life. This is just wrong. People need to act now, not in 200 years with future useless commemoration ceremonies and bs like that. Haven’t we learn anything from the holocaust?

  actually, reading your words made me realize that what the Zionists is doing had made the world wake up and start knowing what is happening to the Palestinians, maybe for the first time.

  this killing started 60 years ago, giving Palestine to the Zionists with the help of the UK back then and strongly supported by the USA till now, was not a religious issue and certainly "God" has nothing to do with it.

  it was for political reasons, the west has their interests in the middle east and they wanted to protect it.

  Since when is war a mathematical equation? The basic objective of any warring party is to inflict maximal damage on the enemy while minimizing its own casualties. Was there anything proportional about the US war in Iraq ? Or about Iraq ’s invasion of Kuwait for that matter? Or about Russia ’s recent war against Georgia ? Israel is doing exactly what any other country has done in the past. This is how war works.

  Would a British citizen complain that "too few" British soldiers are being killed in Iraq ? Probably not.

  And on a more elementary note: Palestinian military inferiority is not an indication of moral superiority. Palestinian insistence on resorting to violence despite this military weakness is an indication of poor judgment perhaps – yet it is by no means an indication of moral virtue. Being militarily weak does not make the Palestinians right.

  Farid Ghadry, President of the Reform Party of Syria, has written:

  We Arabs must be the ones to stop Hamas and Hizbullah, rather than support their demonic and twisted logic of resisting development, enlightenment, and progress of the region. Even when development and enlightenment stare them in the face, their instinct is to destroy them pretending to safeguard their honor, the mechanics of which supersede all else including a happy life of fulfillment and accomplishments. So while we abhor violence of all kind, Israel’s campaign against Hamas must continue to the bitter end not only for the sake of peace but also to help Arabs realize they have a choice: Destroy like Gaza or develop like Dubai.   Alas, many in the west don’t stand with Farid Ghadry. They stand instead with Hamas. Whatever platitudes they mouth, it is clear that they really don’t want Israel to survive at all. The moral dividing line in this battle is very clear. Those who stand with Israel are on the side of morality, justice, and civilization. Those in the media and public life who denounce Israel for having the temerity to defend its people are the fellow-travelers of barbarism. Having done so much to embolden and strengthen Hamas and Iran, who are playing them for suckers, they are continuing to stoke the fires of irrational hatred and genocidal hysteria. As Israeli soldiers die, along with the Palestinian victims of Hamas whether as ‘collaborators’ or human shields, their blood will be on these hypocritical western hands.

  Israel deserves to be treated like any other country. Being anti-israel is not being anti-Semitic.

  That being said, Israel is simply defending itself. If I was your neighbor, and I started throwing rocks into your yard every day, what would you do. Just allow me to possibly plant one in your skull and kill you? No, you’d come over and try to teach me a lesson.

  The same thing is going on here. Israel may not be perfect, but at least it’s trying to be just. Hamas is the one hiding it’s soldiers in houses, putting gazans in a precarious situation. Hamas is the one firing rockets into kindergartens with no care whatsoever for the Israeli people. Don’t forget that.

  Well, Israel hit the UN Headquarters that holds humanitarian supplies and another hospital today. A few more targets like that to ensure that Gazans cannot recover easily and Israel should call it a day.
