Belgium great place and plenty of history you will love it the people are really friendly and the food is fantastic Airports Brussels,Chareroi, which is in the Arden’s.and Antwerp the other airports are just for cargo,if you are a student you could enquire and maybe stay in one of the universities?and of course this would maybe advantages to your study ?I lived in Gent some years back fantastic city of east Flanders Flemish speaking but in Belgium they speak Flemish,Netherlands,French and English and from Brussels you have the Arden’s and Walloon side who mostly speak French but can speak other Languages too the Arden is lovely and Namur and Dinant breathtaking try the Arden pate mmmmmmmm I prefer to the Brussels pate Brussels is a wonder full city and lots to see you must have waffles with fresh cream and fresh fruit mmmmmmmalso the famous Belgian meat stew cooked in dark beer and served with chips mmmm?I would say hotels in Gent and in the Arden cant go wrong with the Novatel or the Ibis’s great hotels hope you have a lovely time and enjoy you will. http://www.tripadvisorBelgium.com

You need to visit Bruges. It’s a smaller town that is very cool, serves great food (lots of mussels), and has great chocolate. We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast there recommended in a Rick Steves guide book that was excellent for $90 per night.

Brussels and Antwerp are the biggest cities but are ugly. Bruges and Ghent are smaller but nice. Visit: midieval castles and cathedrals, museums, Mini-Europe, the Atomium, … There is only 1 main airport, the one in Brussels. Food: mussels, fries, carbonades, potatoe crockets, pastries, chocolate, waffles,…
